Jacqueline Syms

Jacqueline Syms’ experience in auditing, accounting, strategy formulation, risk, project and facilities management, business process reengineering, management coaching and compliance offers a broad scope to the Board of iGovTT. She was a Financial Services Regulator at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago for many years. While at a firm of External Auditors she was involved in the audit of banks, private companies, conglomerates and pension funds. She also functioned as the head of Governance, Risk Management and Compliance at a bank. In addition to her current job at Caribbean Well Service Company Limited, as the General Manager in charge of Finance, Administration, HR and Marketing, Jacqueline currently provides dissertation supervision for Ashcroft International Business School, Anglia Ruskin University, UK and is the lead lecturer for that university’s ‘Executive Leadership’ module. She also provides on-line and personal coaching to teams reading for the MBA degree offered by Henley Management College, University of Reading, UK.
Mrs. Syms is married and is the mother of one girl. Her commitment to community building is evidenced by her work to upgrade her residential area by engaging the residents to work as a team through a vibrant association. She also works toward enhancing the lives of young people through her alma mater, Naparima Girls’ High School, by holding positions on the executive over the past five years.
