Rachel Maikhoo

Rachel Maikhoo is a successful young attorney who is currently a Legal Officer at the Intercommercial Bank Limited. Prior to this she was attached to the Freedom Law Chambers, a Law Firm in South Trinidad which specialises in Civil Litigation, inclusive of Constitutional and Human Rights Law and Medical Negligence where she held the position of Associate Attorney. There she worked with the esteemed Attorney General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the Honourable Anand Ramlogan.
Ms. Maikhoo attained her law degree at the University of London and pursued her Legal Practice Course at the BPP Law School. She also trained at the Battersea Pro Bono Legal Clinic with the law firm Simmons and Simmons in London.
As a student, Ms. Maikhoo was a member of the Young Leaders Group in 2001 which focused on environmental issues that led to formation of group called Young Environmentally Aware Helpers.
